Boo!!!!!!!

It has been quite a while since my last post but life is rather hectic at the moment!!

I have made a couple of really quick makes for Lucy & Philip for Halloween, both are the same just different colours to keep it nice and simple.

The colours used are basic black, pumpkin pie, whisper white and pear pizzaz.

The colours are basic black, whisper white, pumpkin pie, concord crush.

I have used the small speckled wheel to give the card some texture, then I have used 2 sizes of oval punch and a small circle punch for the eyes, the ruffled ribbon is basic black taffetta, I have pulled one of the centre threads to gather the ribbon before fixing it to the back of the cards.  I have stamped "Boo" from the tiny taggs stamp set and fastened it to the ribbon with some linen thread.

I have used some of my ribbons to decorate the handles of these mini pails, filling them with a few Halloween treats to share.  I better get on and make some tea before  the mad rush for Halloween treats starts!!!

I have been busy making soooo many cards to swap at the Stampin' Up! European Convenntion at Addington Palace this week!!!!! Woooooo Hoooooo, I can't believe it is almost here, I know it will be so much fun getting together with other like minded people to talk non-stop about Stampin Up! and of course one of the best things we do get to stamp!!!

Delightful Decorations ......

This is a set of cards I have just made for my Sister, I have used my favourite traditional Christmas colours.

I have used a selection of Christmas papers from the Christmas Jingle scrap booking kit (perfect for cards as well!!) and the new Jolly Holiday papers, with some whisper white taffeta ribbon and very vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  The colours are Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler (the most beautiful deep red!) You will also see some of the new gems and pearls on these cards as Stampin' Up! now sell them in packs - the gems are certainly more sparkly than any others I have tried before!!

I have used 2 stamp sets, Delightful Decorations and Contempo Christmas, and of course the fabulous new bauble punch!!!  It is perfect for making quick cards like this as there is no cutting - simply stamp, punch and add a dimensional!!!  All of the punches from Stampin' Up! are a new flat locking design, making them perfect for stacking and saving precious storage space.

New Baby Cards .......

I have started to build up my box of cards as I'm planning on attending the Christmas Shopping evening at school again this year, so I need to get a move on so I can get some Christmas makes done as well!!

I thought I should start with some baby cards as I only had one left!!  I made a pink and a blue version of this card using the new Baby Tee's wheel from Stampin' Up!  The wheels are so quick and easy to use, this one is perfect for selecting one of the images and cutting it out to layer up. I have made the chest of drawers from some bits of card, punching the handles and adding some glossy accents, the rug is made using the scalloped oval punch.  I have used the Solid Stripes stamp to create wallpaper.

I have used the Dot Dot Dot stamp for the wallpaper on the baby boy card.

Welcome to my team .......

This is the card I have made for Julie, to welcome her to my team!!!  I know she will be a very successful Stampin' Up! demonstrator as she has started preparing her classes and some of them
 are fully booked already!!

I have used the lovely Vintage Vougue stamp set, the colours are Basic Black, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, the designer paper is Greenhouse Gala.  I stamped the "F" twice and cut out and layered it with diamensionals, adding a piece of Old Olive satin ribbon.

I have just finished packing my class as I am taking the class to Julie's house tomorrow.  I am getting my bathroom refitted - so it is rather dusty and noisy here at the moment!!  I just hope the mess is worth it - when finished I will have a "real" wardrobe instead of something the size of a small broom cupboard!!  Maybe another shopping trip will be needed???????

Happiness Shared

Threre are so many new products in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue one of the new products I wanted was their tin of watercolour pencils!!!  I have to tell you they are fabulous, the colours are intense and blend easily together with a waterbrush.

I have used the new Happiness Shared stamp set, the fine detail of the stamp is so crisp, perfect for watercolouring!!  I have stamped the image in Basic grey ink and used a variety of different colours blending them with my water brush.  I have cut the image out and used diamensionals to give it some depth, adding a few single leaves with diamensionals. The greeting is stamped directly onto the Whisper White card, the base colour is Rose Red.

I think this set is excellent value for such fine detail and its available in wood mount or clear mount. I am planning to use it for some Christmas cards, as I think it looks similar to the Christmas Rose - perfect for a December birthday too!!  I must get those pencils back out!!!  So many ideas so little time!!!

My Launch Party

I have had a really busy week preparing for my new Stampin' Up! catalogue launch party on Friday night.  I had a lovely time, and would like to thank everyone who came along!!

This is the card everyone made using the new clear mount Contempo Christmas stamp set.

The colours are Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo.  There is a fabulous new punch that fits the bauble stamp, making this a perfect choice if you have a lot of cards to make up!! I used the paper piercing tool  to decorate the corners of this card.

I will be drawing the winner of my prize draw from Friday night later tonight.  I have given 1 ticket for every £10 spent  on the night for the chance to win some Stampin' Up! products.

More Ornate Flowers

It has been a very busy few days!!  I have so many new projects to share but no time to get my blogging up to date.  I have decided to show another of the cards made with the new Ornate Flowers stamp set.

I stamped the main image first inking the stamp with a versa mark ink pad, then inking directly over the top with the lovely Rich Razzleberry ink, I then added some Heat & Stick powder heating until it melts, then I sprinkled the whole image with the fabulously sparkly Dazzling Diamonds, gently heating again to seal in the glitter.  The colours are Basic grey Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette.

I'm off to have a quick tidy as my desk is lost under a pile of card and paper!!  Tomorrow my first order from the new catalogue will arrive!!!!!  More gorgeous stash to play with!!!

Ornate Flowers ......

At last I can share with you some of the projects I have been busy preparing over the past few weeks with some of the wonderful new stamp sets from Stampin' Up!  I have so many cards made up I wasn't sure which set to show first!!!

This new set is called Ornate Flowers, there are 4 beautiful designs in the set which I think have an oriental appeal, best of all you can buy this set in a wood mounted version or the fabulous new clear mount - perfect if you are trying to save on your storage space!! I have used the lovely new Melon Mambo card and ink for my design, layering it with basic grey, I punched a gorgeous double eyelet boarder across the top of the card, layering it over some basic black.  The centre flower has been made with another stamp from the set but I have carefully covered the inked area with crystal effects to give it a glossy raised finish, punching out the flower and layering it onto a scallped circle with diamensionals.

I had a class making the Pocket Silhouettes cards and mini gift box last night, so now I must crack on with those Christmas designs!!  It was a lovely evening and as ever the chatting and party nibbles afterwards combined with browsing the new catalogue lasted late into the evening!!

If you would like to get your hands on a copy of the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! catalogue you can use the button at the top of my blog and get your copy for the special price of £4.50 delivered direct to your door (rrp £5.95).

Its Finally Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The New 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue
is finally here!!!!!!!

There are so many new products, I know you are going to be impressed, I just hope my hubby doesn't catch a glimpse of my wish list!!!!!!!!

This year we finally have the Clear Mount Stamps which are great if you are looking for ways to save space and your pennies too!!  Thay can be used with the new clear mount blocks.

There are 14 NEW Punches - I know the Bauble punch is at the top of my list very closely followed by the rest of the punches!!!!!  The punches are now a flat locking design making them easier to store and they are stackable - each punch has a picture of the shape on the end so you can see the design you need quickly.

The new colour famillies are better than ever before - I have to say I love tham all, even those colours I initially thought they are "not my kind of colours" but they are!!!  There are also 5 In Colours this year to compliment the core colour range - they are wonderful!!!  There are inks, papers ribbons and co-ordinating accessories right across the range this year, this will make it so much easier to achieve a co-ordinated finished design.
This is the new Colour Coach to help you select the perfect colour combinations for your projects.  The front is a full colour swatch that can be removed, on the back there are suggestions of complimentary colours.  I have to tell you I have used mine so much and I have tried so many new colour combinations I wouldn't usually use and they all look great!!!  It is definately worth investing is a Colour Coach for those times when your mojo decides to take a break!!!

I'm sure you will be wanting to see the products for yourself click here.

I will be back later to share some new projects with you.
